How does automated WhatsApp COD verification work on Shopify?

Immediately upon order creation in Shopify, Manggo Labs sends a WhatsApp message with interactive 'Confirm Order' and 'Cancel Order' buttons. Customer responses instantly update Shopify order tags and hold or release warehouse dispatch.

How much can WhatsApp COD verification reduce RTO losses?

Stores implementing automated 1-click WhatsApp confirmation and address validation typically reduce overall COD return rates from 25-35% down to 12-16% by weeding out impulse and fake orders before paying forward logistics freight.

Can I ask customers to correct their shipping address over WhatsApp?

Yes. If an address is flagged as incomplete (missing house/flat number or incorrect pincode), Manggo Labs can prompt the buyer to reply with their full address, which syncs directly to the Shopify order notes.

What happens if a buyer clicks 'Cancel Order' on WhatsApp?

Manggo Labs automatically tags the Shopify order as 'COD Cancelled by Customer' and can optionally trigger Shopify order cancellation and inventory restock, preventing unnecessary packing and courier dispatch.

Can I offer an incentive to convert COD orders to prepaid during verification?

Yes. In the verification message, you can provide an instant payment link with a small discount (e.g. 5% off) via Razorpay or UPI to convert high-risk COD orders into guaranteed prepaid revenue.
